VRW NoteBook: Dale Jr. Interested in a VRW Ride?

Virtual Racing World

Officials in the Virtual Racing World says that Dale Earnhardt Jr. spectated at the Indy 300 last Monday night. He acted as the spotter for Cybertech Racing's TJ Majors, giving him some unfortunate advice that moved Majors from the lead to 25th during a round of green flag pitstops.

Rumor has it that he is interested in competing in the series. The organization is discussing how such an arrangement should be facilitated. No one seems to be against giving him a ride (editor: DUH!!!).

The possibility of a guest appearance could cause even more issues for those VRW owners with severely suffering bankrolls. Some owners feel that Dale Jr. should be allowed to race but that he should not reduce the cash winnings of drivers that he beats. Should Dale sign on for a ride he would most likely surpass Shawn Wise's record (and well deserved) salary of $91,000 (owner's virtual) .

The real question is how he will make pre-qualifying on Sunday after his Winston Cup races. We'll keep you update on this developing situation.

Fired? Rehired? Make Up Your Mind!

It's been a confusing week for Schiller Racing's Scott Perreault. After being involved in two incidents in Monday's Indy 300 Perreault was released from Schiller racing only to be hired back on a few days later. Scott was the unfortunate victim in both cases. Maybe team owner Matt Schiller looked at the relay and changed his mind.

Tough Times for Some VRW Owners

Some VRW teams might be on their way out of the league soon if their financial troubles continue. SouthPaw Motorsports entered the Indy 300 with only $243,000 (owner's virtual) remaining in their bank roll. There is no doubt that there are more than a few team owners waiting to take their place.
