VRW Magazine No. 19 - Dale Jr... A Class Act!

There is a rule in VRW that makes it mandatory for drivers finishing in the top 5 to submit a recap of their race within 24 hours... others are not mandatory but welcomed, and we do receive a few...
Last Monday, after I crossed the S/F line in the VRW CUP Daytona 300 and parked my car inside turn 1, I talked to the driver of the #08 Budweiser Team Cyclone Chevy. It hadn't been such a great race for him either: Finishing 19th, 2 laps down, after blowing his RF tire as he was running 2nd, was certainly not what he had dreamed of! Still, he had not given up, bringing it home and making sure he would earn a few bucks for his owner Jon Nelson.
While everyone was congratulating the winners, Shawn Wise and Shannon Whitmore, for their awesome photo finish, I turned and whispered to him "Do you want to send me a small recap of your race?"
Most would have forgotten about it... but he did not. Less than 2 hours later, at about 1:30 am, I got his recap on my desk... You can read it in the PIT TALK section of the CUP race... Thanks you Junior, you're the man !
