SORS: Garrett Scores Daytona Win, Takes SORS CHAMP Shootout

DAYTONA BEACH - Less than 24 hours after being retired early in the ORCA Shootout DaFirm Racings Jason Garrett drove his #071 MikeHollis.com entry to victory lane in the SORS Champ Series Shootout to launch the SORS season. Garrett who qualified 11th only led 14 of 200 laps but managed to stay clear of trouble and come home with the win.

Garrett's victory is DaFirm Racings third victory and sends a resounding message to everyone that the boys of DaFirm are playing for keeps in 2002. Dave Barrett in the #24 AllOfficeSports.com Chevy also took part in the shootout. The #24 qualified 10th overall but retired early after completing only 12 laps.
