SOAR-LAS: Jan Verschueren Dominates at Sears Point

Jan Verschueren knew going into the Sears Point test race for the new SOAR-LAS series that his GPL road racing days might come into play at the Sonoma ,Ca. venue. What he did was totally dominate the event leading every lap and lapping the field in the #67 JV Motorsports Ford Taurus.

While turnout was lower than normal the racing was eventful in that the "track" itself beat several competitors .Jay Sparks and David Hudson were each casualties early in the event due to crashes . Ron Haines survived a spin to finish third behind Virginia native and MTM Engineering star Mike Johnson .

Mike Johnson brings the Foster's Dodge Intrepid in unscathed in 2nd place.

Ron Haines survives this spin to finish a strong third .

David Hudson's day ends on lap 8 in this crash . Hudson escaped serious injury.
