Precision Racing Press Release

Virtual Racing World

Precision Racing has its Virtual Racing World Grand National stable set. Team owner Mike Grandy used his first round pick to hire David Poe to drive the #1 SU Orangemen/NVRA Dodge Intrepid. Although he may be an unknown to many in the VRW group he has been racing since Hawaii. David, AKA Poemann, finished ranked 365 on TEN and is a team member of the NVRA Wild cards. He attended the Like Real Albany LAN in the winter of 2000 where he competed in the ACE Division. Although not having an overall good finish in the points he did walk away with 2 second place trophies.

When asked about being hired he replied, "With the quality of drivers in the draft I was surprised that Mike hired me. I'm sure there were a lot of people scratching their heads!$20,000 for who? I have raced with Mike and he knows the type of driver I am. It's a big complement to have him pick me over other more well known drivers. I plan on making him have no regrets that he hired me." David a 41year old hailing from Little Rock Arkansas is a Purchasing Agent for an AOL/Time Warner company. His hobbies include sim racing, fishing and cruising on his bike. His Favorite Cup driver is Dale Earnhardt Jr. David drives with a TSW2 Formula .

Grandy selected Steve Bycroft in the second round to drive the #2 SU Orangmen/NVRA Dodge Intrepid. Steve also dates back to the Hawaii days. He ran in SSCA, SCOR and OSCAR leagues and won his share of races. Currently he runs in IORL, JAFL, BOARS and SSCA. He attended the Like Real LAN in Baltimore and finished 6th in the Pro-Stock Division in a very strong field. Steve, a 31 year old, hails from Goshen Indiana and is a Production Foreman at Carriage Recreational Vehicles. When he isn't racing he can usually be found in the gym. His hobbies include sim racing, working out and dabbling in the stock market. VRW has been upgraded to strong buy! His favorite Cup driver is Sterling Marlin. Steve drives with a CDS4000 from Extreme Competition Controls.

When asked how he felt about his acquisitions Mike replied, " While some may not recognize these drivers they have been around for a long time and are very seasoned veterans. I have raced with David many times and he has always been one of the fastest and cleanest racers I know. Steve has shown to be a very good qualifier and a consistent finisher. I think we will be a force in the Grand National division this season".

With two solid drivers Precision Racing is looking to put their team in a position to move up to the Cup Division in 2003 with a strong showing in the Grand National Division.
